Pu La Deshpande Park

Pu La Deshpande Park  also known as Pune Okayama Friendship Garden is ocated on Sinhagad Road. The garden is named after the most eminent writer of Marathi Literature Shri P L Deshpande. The Garden is inspired from 300-year-old Okayama’s Koraku-e-garden.

With an entry fee of just Rs 5/- one can enjoy being here.  A beautiful landscape with variety of flowers. My friends suggest to visit this place when one is with the ‘partner’ & also when one has fight with the partner. Though it is located near the main Sinhagad road which is known for heavy traffic, this place is very peaceful. This is one of the finest places in Pune. Very clean and lovely place.  No Food/drinks are allowed inside the garden. However all you can carry is a water bottle. Many People come here for morning walk.

Enter the llawn area and you will hear the whistle of the security. Walking on the lawn is not allowed. And Clicking pictures is not allowed (Officially!). The caretaker is too good you wil often see him scolding children as well as adults for misbehavior :P . But this is why Pu La Garden is one of the best and cleanest  tourist place in Pune.

Gates are open from:  6am – 11 am & 4pm – 8pm
Entry Fee: Rs 5/- & Monthly Pass Rs 50/- (As on March 2013)
